剧情介绍

The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will.     不行,各种尖叫得头疼。走向很明确的电影,真实的事件却把人物拍得那么纸片那么假。

    非常工整的类型电影,类似的电影在印度屡见不鲜,先不说电影拍出来上映了能否影响社会,最起码是社会是允许拍摄及上映的,这估计是国人为什么疯狂打五颗星的理由。电影里又一句话挺对:你办案是掀裙子办吗?(对,我就是在说西安地铁撕人家女生衣服那事)。

    将近三个小时,有些冗长了。电影本身拍的也就那样吧,分数有些虚高,印度底层贱民遭受种姓制度的荼毒之苦。只是敢于把家底里那些糟粕的社会顽疾一股脑的呈现给世人,就这一点勇气来讲,还是很值得肯定的。

    类似于划分种姓造成的各种人权问题永远无法完全解决,能有人站出来帮助平衡就不错了。生命比金钱重要,名声比挨揍重要这些道理,有时候却是光脚的人更明白。

    根据真实事件改编的电影总是更令人动容,很多法律的颁布背后都有为此付出代价的人。还好虽然他死了,但是正义还在,他的妻子和孩子得到了很好的安置。那个人权律师也真好,6年处理了96000个人权案件。但是印度电影每次时长都好长,而且看的翻译版也是好奇怪,很多翻译都不通顺。

    2021.12.30 终于看完了 在豆瓣热门好几天了 之前一直没来看 首先他们的印地语就决定了他们国家注定是一个很土的国家 印度版的《辩护人》实在太长了 印度片居然都能拍164分钟就离谱了啊 其实很多剧情是可以稍微优化下删减点时间的 差不多又是一部记录式的电影 介绍了钱德鲁这个为了人权不收钱的好律师 还改变了种姓隔离制度的大圣人了 94年的印度人还在光脚走路也太离谱了吧 他们这监狱就这么小防守这么薄弱不随便越狱吗(当然他们没越狱)前1/3段索然无味 后面开始渐入佳境 但是这个配乐是真的不行太土了!那个警察“我不知道 我不记得了”一起回答也太搞笑了 虽然知道印度人因为光照的缘故肤色较深 但有些人也太黑了吧 纯黑人了都 印度的傻逼警察也没救了又打人又贿赂“一句谎言需要十句谎言来弥补”太对了

    能拍、敢拍这样的题材值得表扬,但是从艺术的角度看,拍的太过脸谱化,以至于不吸引人。

    看的不知道是不是对的版本,感觉音画不同步,观感不是特好。男主出场的bgm太出戏了,4.5吧

    这个社会意义得十颗星啊。超级英雄片的处理把一个非常沉重的社会议题变得偶尔迸发一点娱乐精神,三个小时看下来也不累,这样才能触达最广大的受众啊。广播质感也是杠杠的,印度电影有一手!
