The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 好在这部改动挺大的，故事也更本土化，大纲情节基本原创，融合和了不少致敬梗，就挺可爱。
好玩儿的部分基本来自原作文本，不过戏里戏外对魏翔的意义值得肯定。
本来有些失望，直到魏老师跳起了雨中曲，另外大表哥2的剧情梗值得再多颗星~
每年春节带家人去看一部电影，今年选择了这部，图个开心。
前半段基本复刻了原版剧情，后半加入了不少致敬段和改编剧情。如果是原创剧本那就真的值得鼓掌了。有几个点，原版嘬刀复刻的不错，无实物吃西餐变成无实物突突，加的雨中曲一小段也挺好。
真的不好笑，而且我觉得演技最好的竟然是吉米哥，可是大过年的，看这种片比打仗的好吧？
开头是笑了，后面很无聊。不知是剧本太老套，还是太舞台，假又没惊喜。失望/ 看完原版 发现很多看的时候莫名其妙的地方其实是原版的笑点，骗子身份变成导演，笑点失效了，还在硬演，可能是最大的笑点
即便结尾转成电影拍摄场景也依旧掩盖不了小品式的表演与拍摄风格，但即便如此，在小品日渐拉垮的春节档能带来不尴尬的欢笑已经实属不易了。
提到迈卡和亚瑟·摩根的时候，电影院里我一个人小声喊了句《荒野大镖客》！
真的商业油腻，真的设计刻意，但是里面对电影的爱也是藏不住的，而且一电影院扎实笑出了大几波的鹅鹅鹅鹅鹅，莫被看着就是烂片的片名劝退了！

Ps:三谷幸喜《魔幻时刻》2008。
能明显感觉到观众的笑点提高了很多，影院里的笑声相比以前的喜剧电影少了很多。个人觉得马丽变了，真的没有以前搞笑了。看来，才华输出也是有限的。
垃圾，还不如不改编。。。一年一年的翻拍来圈钱，这是对华语电影的一种侮辱。
至于影片本身没啥可说的，不“电影”，但很“中国”——能将纯粹日系的异域故事，借元电影的名头提练出来，辅以成功学内核及标准小品化的信息差笑料，居然真的攒出了一部票房爆款。我不佩服审查，不佩服资本，不佩服艺术，我佩服的只有中国电影人那死猪不怕开水烫的顽强生命力。戏外比戏内更值得揣摩，这才是专属于这片土地的魔幻时刻。
符合春节档的一贯气质，气质归气质，但看着实在太尴尬了
魏翔一个人在撑5星，马丽比在其他电影里稍微更真挚一点4星，小黄的硬坳实在顶不住…1星，艾伦最后喊的“说谁瞎呢！”4星，平均——3.5星。

以前春节大家在电视上看小品，现在在电影院看。
